Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, also called "The Tao", contains a quote that is inspirational and relevant to us, especially when it comes to floral design: "When spring comes the grass grows by itself." And that's exactly it. The essence of flowers' beauty is simplicity. The tiniest marking on a petal offers potent allure. The gentle curve of a stem is sometimes more captivating than a big, showy blossom. For Thallo, allowing the simplicity of the flowers to radiate through is the most important thing to remember in our craft... flowers don't need a lot of help to be beautiful. We feel lucky to have the opportunity to manipulate them, with restraint and respect, into something that brings a smile to our clients' face.
